Estimados Miembros de LACSN:
Dear LACSN Members:
Tal como lo estipulan los Estatutos de la Red de Solidaridad Latinoamericana y del Caribe, el Comité Coordinador convoca a la Convención Anual de la organización la cual se realizará el día domingo, 24 de Septiembre de 2017 en el Centro Cultural Latinoamericano (CCL), 1756 Eglinton Ave. West (una cuadra al Este de Dufferin), Toronto.
As mandated by LACSN Statutes, the Coordinating Committee is pleased to announce its upcoming Annual Convention for sunday, September 24th, 2017 at the Centro Cultural Latinoamericano (CCL), 1756 Eglinton Ave. West (a block East of Dufferin), Toronto.
De acuerdo al Capítulo III, De la Estructura Orgánica de la Red (No. 2, 2a., i al viii) de los Estatutos, la Convención Anual es el organismo máximo de LACSN y le corresponden las siguientes atribuciones:
According to its Statutes, Chapter III (Its Organizational Structure; Part 2, 2a.; Sections i to viii), the Annual Convention is LACSN's highest decision-making body and therefore, will:
- Discutir el informe anual del corriente Comité Coordinador;
- Discutir y aprobar las líneas estratégicas de trabajo de LACSN para el siguiente período de trabajo;
- Discutir y/o aprobar modificaciones a los Estatutos de LACSN;
- Elegir cinco miembros para un nuevo Comité Coordinador: Coordinador/a General, Subcoordinador/a, Secretario/a, Tesorero/a y Secretario/a de Comunicaciones.
- Discuss the annual report presented by its current Coordinating Committee;
- Discuss and/approve LACSN's strategic working guidelines for the upcoming working term;
- Discuss and Approve possible modifications to LACSN current statutes;
- Elect five members for a new Coordinating Committee (General Coordinator, Sub-coordinator, Secretary, Treasurer and Communications Coordinator).
Nuevas propuestas generadas por los miembros sobre los Estatutos de LACSN deben ser enviados a Edgar Godoy, Secretario de LACSN, g.edgarsaul@gmail.com y Martha Blandon, Webmaster, malubla70@hotmail.com antes del día Viernes, Septiembre 15, 2017. Estas propuestas serán discutidas, aprobadas o rechazadas por la Convención misma tal como lo establecen los Estatutos actuales (Capítulo III, No.2, 2a., iii).
New proposals submitted by members about LACSN Statutes, should be sent to Edgar Godoy, LACSN Secretary, g.edgarsaul@gmail.com and Martha Blandon, Webmaster, malubla70@hotmail.com before September 15th 2017. These proposals will be discussed, approved or rejected by the Annual Convention as mandated by the current Statutes (Chapter III, No.2, 2nd ed. , Iii).
Cada participante debe cancelar una cuota de inscripción a la Convención Anual de $15.00, dinero que cubrirá los costos del día (desayuno/almuerzo y 2 descansos). Por favor responder a este llamado con un RSVP a Diana Howarth, Tesorera de LACSN, Diana.howarth@sympatico.ca para saber cuántos almuerzos se necesitan contratar para ese día.
Each participant must pay an Annual Convention registration fee of $15.00, to cover the costs of the day (breakfast, lunch and 2 coffee breaks). Please respond to this call with a RSVP to Diana Howarth, LACSN Treasurer, Diana.howarth@sympatico.ca to calculate how many lunches will be needed that day.
